Sill Line Heaters      The TEAM System

SILL  LINE  HEATERS

Trans Energy LAM Sill Line Heaters are the most advanced heaters of this type available today.  The LAM Series incorporates up-to-date styling with quality and features to give years of trouble-free service.

At the forefront of the LAM Series design is a subtly curved front cover that softens the appearance of the unit, allowing it to blend with today's architectural styles.  This style will be a gracious addition to any office, lobby, or entryway.

In addition to the new styling, the LAM Series units incorporate two technical features that are central to their design.

The first of these is the "Stair-Step" element arrangement found on two and three-element LAM units.  This arrangement controls the flow of air through the heater, resulting in cooler wall temperatures when compared to conventional side-by-side element arrangements.

The second technical feature is the "Snap-Lock" closure method.  This "Snap-Lock" feature secures the one-piece top grille and front to the one-piece back and bottom.

THE  TEAM™  SYSTEM

What is TEAM™ ?

TEAM™  is state of the art in perimeter energy control for commercial buildings.  Unlikeconventional perimeter temperature control systems, TEAM™ operates onthe principle of measuring heat loss and heat gain, rather than temperature. By measuring BTU's of heat loss or heat gain, TEAM™ sensors instantaneously correct for solar gain, changes in outside temperatures and wind-skin effects.  The system is unaffected by tinted glass, draperies or blinds.

Why TEAM  Works

TheTEAM™ System operates on the principles of measuring net heat flow raterather than temperature.  To understand why this proven concept is a superior method of energy control, it is necessary to remember that perimeter temperatures change as a direct result of heat flowing into or out of a building.  A more accurate regulation of perimeter heat must result if a control system is based on the measured rate of heat flow rather than changes in perimeter temperature.

Perimeter area temperatures are affected by HAVC systems, solar energy, wind velocity, outside temperature, building orientation, building construction, lighting, and many other factors.  The TEAM™ system's most uniquecharacteristic is that the heat flow sensor takes all these parameters into account by measuring the NET heat flow rate.  Moreover, comfort is increased because control is localized, i.e. control for each perimeter area is based on heat flow measurements for that particular zone.

You can see then why a control system which responds to what is really happening - heat flowing into or out of a building - has a great advantage.
